Power plant maintenance
Planned maintenance of gas engine generator sets and auxiliary power plant systems in accordance with manufacturer requirements, taking account of operating hours and operating conditions.
Maintenance helps track equipment condition and plan the work required. Tasks and intervals are determined from the manufacturer's documentation for the specific unit. A power plant also requires consideration of the auxiliary systems covered by the service arrangement, not just the engine. The systems included and the scope of work are agreed for each site.

Key maintenance tasks
- — Planning work based on operating hours and manufacturer requirements
- — Replacement of consumables specified in the maintenance schedule
- — Monitoring operating parameters and recording deviations
- — Maintaining technical records of completed work
How the maintenance plan is defined
The equipment model and configuration, actual operating hours and previous service history are established first. The required tasks, materials and unit shutdown arrangements are then defined. There is no single maintenance interval for all models: the specific manufacturer's schedule and operating conditions are taken into account.
Information to provide
Provide the unit model and serial number, its location and current operating hours. Include equipment documentation, details of the last service and available fault or deviation records. Describe the operating schedule and acceptable downtime. If some documents are unavailable, mention this in your initial enquiry.
Results and scope boundaries
Technical records document completed tasks, materials used and identified deviations. Further work is planned according to equipment condition and manufacturer requirements. Planned maintenance does not replace fault diagnostics or a major overhaul: their need and scope are considered separately. Tasks, materials, timing and pricing are agreed before maintenance begins.
